Toys for the Holidays

Watching a child tear the wrapping paper off your gift and squeal with delight at that perfect toy is one of the most rewarding moments of the holiday season. But, with the thousands of choices of toys available, and the recent slew of toy recalls, how do you choose a fun, high-quality toy that's age appropriate? We're here to help you out! If you haven't checked out our links page, we have lists of the toys we carry that are made in the USA and across the globe. Here are some of our favorites:

Sleds

Whether you're racing down a hill or just playing in the backyard, sleds are a classic winter toy for toddlers through adults. We carry several different styles from a 45" steel runner, to a wooden toddler sled, as well as, a variety of speedy downhill plastic sleds.

Wooden Musical Instruments by Plan Toys

We have a whole section of musical instruments, but a few of our favorites are the xylophone and drum by Plan Toys. Plan Toys, an environmentally-conscious company based in Thailand, makes its well-made durable products out of wood from the rubber tree that would have otherwise been thrown away. Their drum and xylophone are big hits with the budding musicians (and the
kids that just like to make noise!) who come to visit
our toy store.

Lions and Bears and Dogs, oh my!!!

These giant plush animals from Gund are a big hit! They can be a near life-sized companion on a pretend safari or North Pole adventure, but are soft and snugly enough to work as a giant pillow. And, as always, everything by Gund is safe for children of all ages.
